“RECHARGE” Sustainable Tulsa Fundraiser 9/14

The inaugural “RECHARGE: People, Profit, Planet,” a fund and friend-raising event for Sustainable Tulsa, is scheduled for Friday, Sept, 14 at the historic Cain’s Ballroom, Corey Wren Williams, Executive Director of the local environmental nonprofit, announced today. The event will feature performances from the funk-inflected, socially-conscious Count Tutu, progressive bluegrass band Grazzhopper, and Oklahoma Music Academy Summer Jam band 16/19.

Tulsan Bill Hader, Sr. (father of comedian and actor Bill Hader) is the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, and there will be live cooking demonstrations including America’s top 20 female chef’s Miranda Kaiser from Laffa and Cosmos, Chef Jeff Marlow of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and the Justin Thompson Restaurant Group. Guests at the event will explore the “3Ps” (People, Profit and Planet) of sustainability through an immersive experience of sight, sound, touch and taste.

“We are so excited about this new fundraising event for Sustainable Tulsa,” says Williams. “It’s going to be a fun and entertaining evening for everyone, and a great way to share our organization’s message of balancing quality of life, responsible economic growth and environmental stewardship.”
